seed stitch cozie

i used the majic loop to make these. you could use double pointed needles, im sure you could use straight needles (i have not tried it with straight needles) but you would have to sew up the side seam.
you will need
100% cotton yarn
1 stitch marker (if using double pointed needles or majic loop)
row counter
darning needle
size 6 us needles
cast on 40 sts
rows 1 - 30 do seed stitch
rows 31, 33, and 35 - * purl 1, knit 2 together, repeat from * around
rows 32, 34, and 36 (after row 36 you should have 12 stitch left) *knit 1, purl 1, repeat from * around
cut a tail and run the tail through the 12 stitchs pull tight and sew the tail away.
i used these on a 20 oz bottle and cans
enjoy
